Marília Xavier Cury
Museologist and Museum Educator. Associate Professor II at the University of São Paulo (USP). Since 1992 she has worked as a teacher and researcher at the Museum of Archeology and Ethnology (MAE-USP, Brazil). She is a professor and advisor in the Interuniversity Postgraduate Programs in Museology (PPGMus-USP) and Archaeology (PPGArq-MAE-USP) and coordinates the CNPq Research Group «InterMuseologies – Interfaces among Museologies – Communication, Mediation, Publics and Reception», for which she leads the research project «Ethnographic collections and collaboration with indigenous groups – past, present and future: production of knowledge and innovations in museum management policy» (Fapesp). In 2021 she received the Medal of Museological Merit (COFEM) and the CECA Best Practice Award 2021 with the action “I’m here, and always have been!”. In 2022 she received the Waldisa Russio Camargo Guarnieri Medal of Museological Merit (SEC-SP).
