A delegation composed of two Timorese researchers and Filipa Soares from the Timorese Resistance Archive & Museum visited the Santos Rocha Municipal Museum on May 3, 2024, to meet with the museum team and the TRANSMAT project team.

As part of the construction of the Jardim da Chama Eterna (Garden of the Eternal Flame), a new exhibition space in Dili (Timor), this delegation was interested in visiting the Municipal Museum’s Timor collection, which had been the subject of study by the TRANSMAT project. During a visit to the Ethnography Room, where some objects from the collection are on display, the Timorese researchers highlighted the importance of the cultural assets on display in preserving Timorese memory and heritage.
